The '75 season was my third year at Clemson, and I remember thinking that although Clemson wasn't doing so well at the time, the future was looking awfully bright.... and Dwight was the unassuming real deal, a student athlete, a plain old good guy. (I often consider it the heyday of Clemson fandom - no upper decks, no national aspirations, just Death Valley and Frank Howard Field, but we'd pack the stadium every Saturday and many of us guys, with our girls, wearing a coat and tie, even with temps in the 100's, and Tiger Rag bellowing from beneath the deck as the band entered the stadium.... good times.) And it's interesting to note that Dwight caught 30 receptions in his Tiger career while wearing the number 30.... God bless him and his family, and all who knew and loved him.

GO TIGERS!!!!
