Looking like Beamer is on his way to Arkansas. VA Tech AD has called a press conference at 4pm. Another elite coach added by another SEC team

Very surprising, if true.
He's been the face of VT football for over 2 decades. Bud Foster will become the new HC if Beamer really is bolting.

Not saying you are wrong, but I find that extremely hard to believe. He built VT from the ground up and is a beloved figure. Why would he risk that to go to Ark and have the possibility of being fired within 5 years? It just doesn't make sense.

I would think that is far more likely that Beamer leaving. Beamer IS VT football.

I cannot imagine any scenario where Beamer would leave for another school. He's 65 years old, and he IS Virginia Tech football. He could have five bad years in a row before his seat would start to warm up, and then he can leave and just come back to campus to look at the monument they will put up in his honor.
Unless he really doesn't care about his legacy and Arkansas throws sixty bazillion dollars a year his way, I'd say they are announcing something else.

Virginia Tech Athletic Director Jim Weaver just sent out a press release stating he will hold a news conference at 4 p.m. Monday. No reason was giving for the conference. However, Weaver has been battling Parkinson's disease for a long time now. Hopefully today's announcement is not health-related, but that's my best guess. Stay tuned.

I know AD Jim Weaver has been fighting Parkinson's Disease so I'm guessing this 4:00 presser has something to do with that. Hopefully I'm wrong, but I wouldn't be surprised if his disease has advanced and he is announcing that he is stepping down.

That makes no sense. Why would the school that is losing a coach call a press conference. The losing school doesn't call press conferences. They have their press conference to introduce a new coach. I call BS.

According to Hawgsport.com, it is either the AD from Arky moving to VT or Bud Foster moving to Arky. Both have merits but neither has been confirmed.
