The cops investigated, arrested two brothers from some ######## african cuntry then released the brahs and altered the direction/intent of the investigation after discovering the brahs bought the rope at a local ACE hardware (1) and one of them worked in the theater with the alleged victim.
It's still under investigation and they have arrested anyone else yet. It's speculation but reasonable people believe it was all theater.

Even if it turns out to be staged and he goes to jail for a short time, everybody in the United States of America will know who the guy is. There probably aren't two or three people in the county wealthy enough to buy that kind of publicity. I can just about guarantee you he will profit from this in the long run.
