Former Clemson commitment off the board again, per KornCOOT

Mar 3, 2013, 7:20 PM

By Phil Kornblut

One time Clemson commitment DB Dylan Sumner-Gardner of Mesquite, TX Saturday committed to Texas A&M and declared his recruiting officially over. "Committed To Texas A&M Today. Officially Done With The Recruiting Process," Gardner posted on his Facebook page. He had committed to Clemson last June after attending one of Dabo Swinney's camps, but he decommitted January 21st.

I am not sure but didn't Clemson pull his offer a while back

Just for the reason he De-committed; Distance? I might be wrong but I think we did.

Nah, They just suggested he decommit if he wasn't sure. We really shouldn't expect to get the best athletes (except QBs) from Texas, but should keep trying anyway.

Besides, Chad will probably be his head coach in about 2 years.

I think DSG sticks with A&M

Clemson was first major program to offer. He thought he was "All In" - hence the famous bus ride.

But then everyone else came a callin' - especially the big boys in the back yard.

I hope the kid does well. At least we don't have to spend time about what ifs and about his mama liking daba, etc come next Feb.
