When Huegel went down, every fg attempt or pat became a massive sphincter pucker (inner and outer). It was a major factor in the loss to Syracuse. Spence just needed some game experience and confidence.

Fast forward 3 months later, and Spence answered the call when he was asked to perform. All 6 points were on that young man’s foot (also a great handle/hold by WS16).

Bama’s all star, Pappanastos, missed a sure shot 38 yarder.

This loss was on the offense, but that Tiger D played championship-caliber football...and Alex Spence kicked assss.
