The data shows that he can't build off of a good year. He has a good year followed by a bad year and then followed by a better year.

The only data I need to see though is we returned 4 out of 5 starters from a sweet 16 team and we are worse. How does that happen? Making the tournament barring any injuries should have been a given this year. Maybe it means that Devoe was a bigger stud than we thought and made him look better last year accounting for the win-loss differential. If it was coaching that got us there last year, then we would certainly be better off at this point than we are. He can't coach and that has been proven now over his time here. It will be interesting to see how many people show up tomorrow to take on an equally poor BC team.

All jokes aside, I appreciate the data but imo it provides a downward trend in acc wins and that shouldn’t be the case since the acc expanded and we don’t have to play dookies and unc twice a year.

As for overall, doesn’t say much because he’s still not getting into the tournament. The most important article for his dismissal has been circulated the last couple days from the sts website concerning recruiting and impact players.

I’m all for defining the criteria for mbb. Expectations etc etc but at some point as the AD, you make the call that it’s not what’s expected. If said criteria is we want a coach who is a great person, high character, morals and gets great student athletes that graduate and hopefully every decade you participate in March madness- I’m ok with that. Just state that’s what we want.
