Let this sink in.....Monte Lee makes somewhere around $750 -$800 Thousand and he manages more players and plus plays more games. I think Coach Brownell makes north of $1.5 million.

I think that the NCAA basketball tournament is the largest single money producing event in amateur sports.
Not a surprise that basketball coaches are paid more than baseball coaches.

the tournament isn't a true "single" event. There are 60+ games in the tourney. That's two years worth of regular season games.

Coach K has earned that money. BB is getting paid what coaches that make the tourney every year are getting.

They are a football first school like us, yet have decided to invest in a quality coach, pay him an ample wage, and are reaping the benefits. They may not be close to winning the NCAA just yet but they are consistently in the top-25, relevant in the ACC & ACC tourney, and are getting good recruits in a non-traditional basketball state.
It's time to pony up or just be content to sit in the bottom of the pack, year in year out.

He made the same as what BB made until his team won an ACC championship and he got a raise. You have to earn money. That man built a program and the started paying him it was not the other way around.

BB makes more than Xavier's head coach who beat us. More than Gonzaga's head coach who has his team #1 in the nation. More than Notre Dame's head coach who beat us.

You think we would be undefeated if we had Zaga's schedule? They have beaten Florida, Zona, Iowa State, Tennessee, and Saint Mary's twice. Now we would have a better record but we would most likely not be 26-0. Also Xavier beat us at a neutral site.

I know we have a top 10 SOS so I understand what you are saying. We play in the best basketball conference in the NCAA but BB is getting paid enough to be winning more than he is right now.

We aren't getting our money's worth. Not even close. We would gladly pay more for the right coach. He's not deserving of the money he makes currently, which is only going up next year.
When compared to the coaches who actually took their teams to The Tournament last year, he is the 26th-27th highest paid.
