Well in all fairness you could almost see it coming
But never this awful.
No pitching, not much hitting and not very good in the field = what is happening.
We got by playing bad teams early and vs good teams it won't work.

You mean bad teams like UVA?
Yes the schedule was easier early but we beat some quality teams. Mentally this team just isn't the same down the stretch.

Ok. This is still Leggett's fault.
All the credit went to him last year when he won the ACC tournament, but it's all Leggett's fault that this team is having the most major collapse.

is missed on so many. Look at the whole product when you want to bash a coach. Leggett ran this ship into the ground and wouldn't have docked it until he hit Arizona. It took 10 years of Jack getting worse to finally do something about it. When you spend that amount of time going the wrong direction then it will take time to get it back to where it should be.
The point is that anyone with a brain realized that last season was above the realistic expectations for that team. This years team is pretty much on par for where at least I thought they would be now when Lee was hired two years ago. Sure it doesn't look pretty but I don't think its fair to call it a collapse when our schedule was so heavy on the back end - if these teams were sprinkled in over the course of the season we would still have had the same results - the losses would just have been more spread out.

From his media comments I'd say Coach Lee gets it. He understood how important yesterday's contest was and made it clear to the team. The players need to regroup and focus upon what lies ahead.

Think back on the 2010 football season. Some great players with a relatively new coach and bad luck. Perhaps this baseball season is like that with a future like football at the end of that season. Don't fall into a Coot frame of mind.
