For the Old Timers, Buck George was buried yesterday

in Rock Hill. His casket was adorned with Orange and Purple flowers and the service was concluded with the playing of Tiger Rag. I remember watching him play as a young boy and he possible still holds the record for longest run from scrimmage. Buck was 81.

gridiron legend at Clemson before my time there.

He served the Catawba Nation well and was active in Rock Hill community affairs. He will be missed.

I knew a guy (also recently deceased) who played for PC vs Clemson when Buck George played. He raved about how good/fast Buck was.
