Right... What a joke. DW4 is absolutely the best player in CFB! I would rank it as the following:
1) DW4
2) Cook, better than fournette imo
3) Cafferey, tho i do wonder about the talent he faces, or more to the point, the defenses he faces.
4) Fournette, he is a beast for sure.
5) Barnett for TN is pretty dang good.
Then the rest, with Mayfield in there somewhere.

Imo it's a 5 player race this year with one that will come out of nowhere. Watson on top with McCaffery, Cook, Fournette and someone yet to be named. Mayfield is ok. At best, ok. I think he is truly a product of a system and a decent RB backfield.

Any site that doesn't rank Watson #1 is a joke. No player in the country could have scorched that Alabama defense like DW did. He's #1 and it's not even close.

DW4 is the best QB and player in the nation. There's no arguing against that. Mayfield is, at best, the 4th QB. Watson, Barrett, Stidham, and maybe Rosen and Rudolph are all better. You could even make a case for Dobbs and the Texas kid. Thomas maybe too. Mayfield's #s are purely because of shoddy opposition and the system he is in.

Head to Head match up where they all watched while DW4 easily blasted a Baker Mayfield led Oklahoma team in the Capital one orange bowl playoff game where most of the country said he couldn't/wouldn't do. Then, Deshaun Watson had 487 yards of total offense set a record for a National Championship game and he is the first quarterback in "FBS history" to have at least 4,000 passing yards and 1,000 rushing yards in a single season. And they are still saying while trying to convince the public that DW4 is the 4th rated QB/player. Exactly what does it take for a Clemson player to be #1 in the country besides proving it on the field that he the #1 player by breaking a history of records and setting the standard with setting new records!!!
