Perry's father is indeed a great man:

"He's a man of vision" says Bobcats' co-chaplain Colin Pinckney as he sips coffee and eats red velvet cake at Rush Espresso. "He's always looking down the road. He's not old, but he's wise."

Sometimes that wisdom is tested. After Korde Tuttle, the oldest of Perry and wife Loretta's six children, accepted a scholarship to North Carolina, he brought home a UNC cap for his father. It was a nice cap, too, Tuttle admits.

"I love you, son," he said. "But I will never put that cap on my head."
