Oh right, because LSU is the 6th placed team in the "nation"

Jul 8, 2013, 11:32 AM

*shakes head*

What about this says anything negative about this game?

Jul 8, 2013, 11:39 AM

They are saying it is the 6th best game of the entire season, not just the bowls.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Oops, Knee-jerk. Removed. THX***

Unless you're in the SEC....

Jul 8, 2013, 11:42 AM

does anyone really care anymore what ESecPN says or thinks.

My guess

Jul 8, 2013, 11:44 AM

The top 5 games will be between sec teams. In that way, EsecPN once again will determine that the sec is the greatest conference of all times by default. There couldn't possibly be a different outcome left up to the fans as voters.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Well would you look at that

Jul 8, 2013, 12:06 PM

3 of the top 5 feature Bama vs, $ec

Like anybody wouldn't have seen that coming

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Well would you look at that

Jul 8, 2013, 11:11 PM

Well, all three were very close games. Large, large majority of the country watches Alabama hoping they lose.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It was nice of ESPN to throw a bone to the PAC12

Jul 8, 2013, 12:09 PM

Are they even trying to hide their bias anymore?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

The fact that it was an exhibition game hurts it.

Jul 8, 2013, 12:31 PM

Meaningful games always get rated higher. The MAC championship game was one of the best of the year but its not ranked up there bc it wasn't big teams an there were no title implications.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Coupled with the fact that LSU didn't really want to b there

Jul 8, 2013, 12:55 PM

Since LSU completely discounted the game and categorized it as meaningless and irrelevant, E$ecPN has to walk the company line and follow suit.

How is Nevada vs. Arizona not in the top 5?

Jul 8, 2013, 12:48 PM

Seriously, go watch that game. Gotta be the most exciting thing I've ever seen (that doesn't involve my Tiger of course!)

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

How were ANY of those top 5 better than CU vs LSU game?

Jul 8, 2013, 12:57 PM

Oh, wait, I know - because the SEC team got BEAT in our game.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I thought the LSU-Bama game was up there with ours, and

Jul 8, 2013, 1:15 PM

most people would give it the nod b/c there would've been a different national champion last year if Bama had not made the comeback.

The Coots vs Michigan was actually a really good game too if you ignore the fact that they won.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

...and the fact that Mechigun wasn't worth a chit

Jul 8, 2013, 2:14 PM

8-5 overall with a 6-2 in a conference soft as a baby's butt.

Passing yards 97th, rushing yards 41st, 58th in point scored and 20th in points allowed.

scar should have crushed them like Bama crushed a team that beat them.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpgringofhonor-clemsontiger1988-110.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

At what point do we call anyone else's conference soft?

Jul 8, 2013, 8:28 PM

Michigan played them better than we did! And we were at home...

Michigan game was close but they are Michigan; Stanford.

Jul 8, 2013, 1:22 PM [ in reply to How were ANY of those top 5 better than CU vs LSU game? ]

The rest is a SEC money making lovefest; they are trying to get the sheep ready for another season of advertising and media bias.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Personal favorite: #13, ULM beating Arkansas

Jul 8, 2013, 1:19 PM

If y'all didn't watch that game, it was EPIC. If anybody knows when that game will be replayed, let me know.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I dont see how you could rate the TAMU/Bama and outback bowl

Jul 8, 2013, 1:38 PM

ahead of us SC almost choked away the game and Bama was chasing A&M the whole game - they never lead. If LSU had been the one to make a walkoff FG it would be ahead of at least the outback bowl.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Brad Brownell: more losses than any other coach in school history.

It's amazing/hilarious to see how bent out of shape people

Jul 8, 2013, 2:58 PM

here get over ESPN. And then my favorite is, "I don't care what they think." Yet I will continue to read all of their articles and post on threads about them.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Most are still excited that we will host Gameday and play

Jul 8, 2013, 3:14 PM

in prime time ESPN games too.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Clemson should tell ESPN "NO THANKS" on Gameday

Jul 8, 2013, 3:34 PM

And also "NO THANKS" to any games being televised on their network. That'll show 'em.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It would suit me if E$ecPN never came back to Clemson again

Jul 8, 2013, 4:25 PM

Who needs them or their grossly biased assessments.

I have no idea why Clemson would even allow them on campus***

Jul 8, 2013, 5:08 PM

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Agreed...or any other non-$EC school for that matter....

Jul 8, 2013, 5:17 PM

Having to put-up with all of their biased rhetoric and BS isn't worth the limited amount of exposure they provide.

Obvioulsy, ESPN was scared to put the Clemson vs. LSU game

Jul 8, 2013, 2:02 PM

on the ballot.......
