Yes, ABC is network, but that is almost definitely regional, whereas Clemson will be national.

the better you play you still get stuck at noon and people you beat play at three?
This needs to be taken personally and used as team motiviation to inflict pain on the tarheels because this is some swofford ploy to try to give them an easier DV trip than a later afternoon or evening game would be. Absolute BS

I thought like you, until Auburn got nothing, and there even were admissions by former players that they got cash, etc. I doubt uncheat get much in the way of sanctions, and the same for usuc on their transgressions. I hope I'm wrong, but I doubt it.

Agreed on swoffie having his hands on this. Onlt thing is it puts his school with a crappy time, too. He must have something he needs to attend later that day.

that's ridiculous. 3 or 330 slots would have been more fitting. you would think that the acc would want the game to be more primetime, since every other team in the conference has let down this season. no one watches the noon games.

The ACC doesn't pick the times, TV does.

Besides, our slot is a nationwide audience, the 3:30 slots are regional games.

During the rest of the day all of the halftime highlights for the various games will feature us, which is good for exposure.

Who picks or decides these things?
Oct 16, 2011, 8:50 AM
|
|
John Swofford. I mean really! One undefeated team in the conf. who has already beat MD and FSU, and they pick a 3 loss FSU team vs a 3 loss MD team. That Duke win was so impressive. I'll have to watch this game on tape delay (in NC) while my kids play soccer. Probably will make it to the DVR around literally 3:30. I'll need to get a tee shirt that says "don't tell me the score I'm recording it"

I used to hate noon kickoffs as a student but now I don't see them as being so bad. Once we win, you can tailgate all day and watch the other games. I also heard the players like noon kickoffs. If it makes the players happy (not that they had any say in the matter) then thats good for us as well. I'll be up bright and early to cheer on my Tigers no matter what time they play!!!

I'm not one of the ACC-Swofford conspiracy theorists,...
Oct 16, 2011, 10:21 AM
|
|
... but Clemson has had two night games this year... ON THE ROAD AT VT AND MARYLAND. The Tigers have only gone on the road twice, and both have been night games. One of which, VT, is a "very tough place to play" at night. Then, we get the 7:00 slot to play at terpland against a team that historically gives the Tigers the business (thank god Ron Cherry wasn't there last night). I don't know if this says something about ESPN trying to screw us, but one thing is very clear: the Tigers have passed both tests with a lot of heart and determination when all of the outside influences have been stacked against us. The game last night wasn't pretty, but it took a lot of heart, pride, and confidence to come back and win that game. I hate the time slot for the home game against UNCheat as much as anyone, but I think this team would be ready to put a beat down on the holes even at 6:00 A.M. Hopefully the Tigers have gotten all of what we saw last night out of their system. Get 'em ready, coaches! Let's have a 21 - 0 lead on the holes by 12:30 P.M this Saturday!!!!
GO TIGERS!!!!!!
