I think this is a good decision. Two years away (basically) would have been really tough to come back from.

Agreed. On top of that, I think about halfway through the season (if not before then), he will work his way up the depth chart at LB.

I was thinking the same thing. He is more than likely going to pull ahead of Corico and then he is right on track to get plenty of snaps and show what he can do on the field.

Tony has the size to play in the middle or on the strong side.

You could have a rotation of Kellen, Tony, Stephone, Lateek and Parker. That's 2 5* and 3 4*'s...not to mention Goodson, Burrell, and O'Daniel.

I'm surprised and not sure it's the best long term decision for Steward based on Venable's comments, but I suspect it's the decison he wanted and Dabo respected his request. He will likely spend this year backing up two very average LB's while he is not at full health.

All that said, I wish young Mr. Steward a full and speedy recovery. And hopefully two more years in Tiger Town at full speed.

Ohhhh did they now? And how good was our defense last year. I had 100+ tackles on a 1-9 team my senior year in high school. I guess I can just say i did my part and exclaim that I wasn't mediocre. I wasn't great by any means.

relative. Corico has been moved and Stephone is learning the Mike. Things will be different and time will tell whether the DC change works. I'm optimistic.
