I agree, that was one heck of a catch.

We had no business losing that game either.

We lost all momentum after that game and loss and we never recovered.

Who knows, if we had one that game, our season could had been different. The mind set would had been different.


Just like us beating Auburn last year. I think we had something to do with Auburn having such a bad year. Those big opening games can obviously help if you win them but if you lose, things can spiral out of control quick. Same thing when we opened and lost to Bama years back.

I'm all for playing the best but nothing wrong with opening the year with a Furman or something just to get the cobwebs removed and stuff and then go from there.


And I do remember that opening drive in that Auburn game was probably the best called drive of Napier all season. We executed those players to perfection. Then I think later too many hands got involved in that play calling.

I still think he should have stayed another year. I was never totally impressed with him. But those 2 plays mentioned are also my 2 most memorable plays.

I was surprised he left. More surprised he was drafted. And not surprised at all that he has already been cut. Hopefully he will get another shot, but I never really saw the NFL material. He should have stayed in school, but he was determined to leave after 3 years as he said in his signing day press conference.
