Might have been a blessing in disguise... DA gets to skip the rabid media insanity of New York, and gets to play for an organization that has a clue, unlike the Panthers. Plus, he's catching passes from a #1 pick QB who is actually living up to the hype.

Keep doing what you do Dwayne, and you'll make it up on your second contract.

Had he known that he was going in 3rd round, would he

have stayed one more year?

I wonder if he would have cracked 1st or 2nd round this year assuming he had great stats at Clemson? not too many good TE's in draft this year.

should have come back for one more year!....ask CJ how it

worked out for him. Everyone thought he would go early, he came back and became a #9 pick. I'll always say stay four years....I know the injury argument but if you're scared, don't play

He got drafted to a good team with a good QB. I'd say he's doing just fine. He won't be hurting for money by the time his career is over. That is for sure.

I think the point is that he would have made more both in the short and long-term had he stayed another year and solidified his status as a first round pick. The 40 yard dash also killed him, so he may have been able to improve on that a little.

Of course he's not going to be hurting for money (provided he manages it right) - he's making hundreds of thousands of dollars.
