heal, and it was a compound fracture, off a half inch, requiring two pins. Completely F*ed up.

Watson's must be a pretty nasty break.

how nasty of a break could it be? He didn't even know it was broken until the next series. Typically if you have a bad break you know that ish RIGHT AWAY

...in a high school basketball game. Knew I'd "jammed" it immediately, but I finished the quarter. The abject, "CUT IT OFF!!!" agony didn't start until we were on the bench. Things like that can take a minute in the heat of competition.

Related: After the full-cast treatment, it was a good 2 months before I could hold grip a ball with any degree of confidence :/
