Five Star Challenge : Top Southeast Performers, T.J. Chase

Guess it's about time for Rivals to give T.J. his fifth star since they ranked him the 5th best performer at their Five Star Challenge and he only has 4 stars.

Chase, a Clemson commit, helped his stock in Baltimore. That much is clear. He lost only a few one-on-one reps and shined in the early going of the 7-on-7 portion of the event. He caught a pair of touchdowns in his team's first game and used long strides and impressive athleticism to run open all day. The most overlooked thing about Chase are his hands, which are as reliable as anyone can reasonably expect.

Does it really matter if he's a 3,4, or 5 star?

He's the same player. I've noticed the NFL hasn't gone to this silly rating system for draft picks....... ;)

Kid is an absolute stud. Anyone with an eye for football knows he's 5 star talent.

When Clemson is bringing in the 5 stars, all the recruiting gurus talk about it. ESPN, 24/7, Scouts etc all talk about the top colleges in recruiting. If we are ranked in the 30's they will never talk about us except how bad our class is. It has been nice checking out the recruiting pages on the net and seeing us in the top 10 most of the last 4 years or so.
