Chase Young's "loan"

Nov 8, 2019, 12:57 PM

Actual quote from the attorney: "Young took a small loan from a close family friend last year"

Actual quote from Chase Young: "I made a mistake last year by accepting a loan from a family friend I've known since the summer before my freshman year at OSU"

So, a "close family friend" just happened to befriend the family a few months before enrollment? And then gave Young a loan 2 years later, while he was a member of the football team?

How "close" can this friend be if they've only known each other a couple of years?

and the loaning, so your point is even more valid. Also, another question is "isn't it a little serendipitous that the agent made friends with a high-profile soon-to-be college athlete just as the athlete was starting his college career?"

It leads me to wonder how deep OSU will investigate. If Young met him due to OSU ties, it is likely that the person may have other "close family friends" on the Ohio State team. Will they try to find out if anyone else was coming up short on monthly bills?

Never loan friends money.
