I kind of see what you’re driving at, but ...

Weinke only played four years of college football.

Finley is half way through year number six !

Finley was initially at Boise State. After redshirting his first year (2013), he played in 2014 and 2015 but sustained a season-ending ankle injury part way through the 2015 season. After the 2015 season, he transferred to NC State.

Year 1 - 2013 - Boise State - Redshirt
Year 2 - 2014 - Boise State - Redshirt Freshman
Year 3 - 2015 - Boise State - Redshirt Sophomore

Transferred from Boise State in the summer of 2016 after earning his degree in three years. Was granted a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA.

Year 4 - 2016 - NC State - Redshirt Sophomore
Year 5 - 2017 - NC State - Redshirt Junior
Year 6 - 2018 - NC State - Redshirt Senior

Chris Weinke played in the NFL for seven years...

and then coached for two years after that.

I think he is now a running backs coach at Tennessee.
