Few True Clemson Fans Exist

Very sad to see the number of so called "fans" left in the beginning of the 4th quarter. Yep, getting our butts whipped, but this is college football. Leaving so early put salt in the wounds of college athletes who were trying their best. I am ashamed at the many of you that let our men down in their time of need. It further proves to me that this Clemson fan base consists of largely win-only fans--and not deserving of calling themselves supporters of this football team. You sell your extra tickets for big money and prevent true college football fans and true Clemson fans from attending the game because they can't afford it. Do us real Clemson fans a favor--don't buy tickets if you are not going to support the players to the end. Win or lose, they need us and more importantly when they have a bad game like last night. Boo Clemson fans, at least all of you who bailed on our team.

When did you leave? Probably half time.

our players and the coaching staff left after the first quarter. hell, they never even showed up.

quit bitching at the fanbase, we're not the one that got 51 hung on us in the 2nd biggest game in our history.

Can tell you never played college sports. Just what I mean. They didn't try to lose. Sell your tickets. Buy NFL tickets, then you can complain.

you have no idea who I am. and where did I say we tried to lose?

once again, quit your whining at the fan base. we aren't the issue. game plans, motivation, focus, and adjustments are the problem.

fielding a #3 ranked team that looked completely outclassed was the problem. so sorry that a lot of our fans don't like getting humiliated and chose to leave instead of watching the debacle till the very end. ooo, we're no better than the coots, spare me.

I, for one, don't think the players ever quit last night...

I think they were just outplayed.

Franc, our players did NOT quit of which I am proud. The difference in talent level was obvious and we definitely shot ourselves in the foot to help out our opponent. Now is not the time to point fingers and become the losers to the south.

standard. Name one team....college or pro whose fans aren't heading home when it is nearing midnight and their team is getting beat by 40. Nobody loves the Tigers more than I, but when it's a beatdown and clearly out of hand, I'm going to get my three year old and nine year old home and in the bed.

Not in the beginning of the 4th quarter. Fan support is critical to a collge athlete. I know. Penn State fans are true fans--stay till the end always, even under trying times recently and playing with minimal scholarships. It's about school support, not win-loss.

Anyone calling out the fans is an idiot!***

Forget It. Few fans who attended except any responsibilities

They have made that clear last night and this morning. So quick to defend their actions or lack thereof, few have even asked for clarification as to how they were depicted on national television. The world is here to serve them. I now know that the majority of Tiger fans are rather self-absorbed.

son, the fans in the stadium were INCREDIBLE last night...

it helped disrupt FSU offense in the first half!!! are you attacking the fans for not being as loud and 'supporting' the team after getting down by 30 or 40 points ????? did you pick up your trophy before leaving the stadium ??? were you there ?????

Cry me a river the QB quit long before fans hity the door.

People show up expecting the star QB to at least be prepared and not look scared out there. You go to a movie that sux, you walk out, you go to a concert that sux, you walk out.

Had this been a hard fpught loss, it'd be one thing, but Boyd had no business on that field last night. When he's on, he's on, when he's off and unprepared(last night,OB, USuC games),he has no business expecting fans to hang around and watch. Prepare better next time, look like you belong, compete , win lose or draw, CU fans will be there, chit the bed in normal Boyd style and they(fans) have the RIGHT to leave.
