U know what...

Aug 13, 2012, 7:24 PM

months ago, especially when Clemson was showing some interest in this young man. And even while watching his work out videos. I was thinking..how can this kid prepare for the contact of this game. Well I guess those questions are being answered. Plus, hes very small.Hope ppl aren't expecting too much.

You know WHAT....How can we prepare as civilians, what this young man has seen ans accomplished in his young life. Im pretty sure, if he can take bullets, bombs, and shrapnel flying everywhere. He can take a hit from anybody that plays college football

I'm sure he can take it mentally

Aug 14, 2012, 9:18 AM

the question is can his body take it. It's something he'll have to adjust to. Just because you can handle bullets and shrapnel doesn't mean your body can take a hit from a small car. (I imagine getting hit by one of our players does slightly more damage than getting hit by one of those stupid SMART cars)

Or you know it could be that he just had an injury.

I guess Tony wasnt prepared for the contact of the game last year either...

Tony's injury was a non-contact injury.

I see what you're getting at, but because Lt. Dan has a smaller frame and hasn't taken a hit since high school, he's going to be more susceptible to things like that until he gets used to taking hits again.

I bet you dont have any family or you have never served yourself to say such a classless comment.

Be grateful people like him put their lives on the line so you can disrespect them from the comfort of your computer

See my comment above, and please take it from me - most of us who served gladly reserve the honor and respect for those who did not survive. Many of the wounded actually feel "survivor guilt" , wondering why they did not die along with or instead of friends and put little value in symbolic awards and would give all of them back if it could have saved one of their fallen comrades.
