Not trying to change the tailgate subject but, has any of you been to the the Old MacDonald fish camp in North Augusta SC. My wife and I with family members have been twice, and personally, It's not what I was told it would be, and for the price the sea food wasn't that good especially for sea food lovers. Where is the best sea food house in SC, and the name, it's not the Old MacDonald fish camp. TIA

For great seafood , try Gulfstream Cafe at Garden City . It's a little bit upscale but really good .

Haven't been there in many years because we're in North Myrtle now, but Gulfstream was our go-to place when we stayed on the south side. That and Sarah J's in Surfside.

used to be a good fish camp in salem that I went had the best frog legs and gator you could eat but that was 35 years ago.
Also remember as a little fella my dad would take us to a place on the river in Moncks Corner that had hands down the best catfish and catfish stew you'd ever eat but again that was 50 yrs ago. I've often wondered if that place still exits or if anyone remembered the name.

It depends on how much time/detail I want to go to..........

if I can cook, then like burgers, etc. - have even fixed chicken bog, etc. for a large group.
If it's "cold" tailgate, then I still like the old favorites brought with me - pimento cheese sandwiches, fried chicken, barbeque, chips, etc.
But must have plenty of cold ones - but not so many that I can't clearly see the Tigers crush whoever we're playing.

Depends on time of day. For noon kickoffs we go with breakfast: grilled salmon, scrambled eggs & grits with bacon chopped up in them. For 3:30 or later kickoffs we usually go with grilled cheese sandwiches with bacon & tomato. Coot games are always a chicken stew ??

We used to always make our pimento cheese.........

from scratch but have been eating Palmetto pimento cheese now for the past several years - ever since we got it in Pawley's Island a few years back when it was still made there locally (but is now made in Greenville by C.F. Sauer (Dukes Mayonnaise, etc.). It's the best store-bought pimento cheese I've ever had - makes it easy to skip the trouble of making in on your own. Glad they stock it at most of the big grocery stores in the Southeast now.

Tiger77 you are absolutely right about Palmetto cheese! Tastes just like the pimiento cheese at some of our favorite spots around Charleston!

But, when she doesn't want to cook, I bring the grill and do a pork tenderloin. We then make sliders. If neither of us want to cook, we go with a Fatz or Publix chicken tenders tray

You won't need food because you won't want food.
You will not want to fight like some teenager
You will not want to leave at halftime.
You WILL want the other team to be decapitated, and that's the kind of fan we NEED in DV

For a noon game, ham biscuits, fruit, sausage balls, and hash brown casserole
https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/13755/restaurant-style-hashbrown-casserole/
For a 3:30 game, chicken strips, pasta salad or hot pasta bar (weather dependent) OR potato bar & taco salad
For prime time, burgers with all the fixings or grilled chicken, mac & cheese, salad or slaw
