Fans who Price Gouge other Fans are not Real Fans

The prices for the Clemson/UL game on Tiger Tickets & StubHub are absolutely ABSURD!!!
I cannot believe so many fellow Tiger Fans are robbing their fellow tigers like this.
How dare you try to profit off other fans like this! Do you not know there are struggling single moms who won't be able to afford to take their 2-month old child to this game because of YOUR GREED!

Prices are determined by what your peers are willing to pay, not the whims of the seller. Don't like it, don't go. But don't criticize others because they made a donation to Clemson (that you aren't factoring into their costs) and bought tickets and you didn't.
And no, I don't have tickets I'm trying to sell.

How is th is any different than any other aspect of capitalism that we promote in America.
If you want to rent a beach house on the 4th of July, guess what? It is going to be more expensive than October 12th. You go to Disney in the summer... more expensive. Want a house in the good school district... more expensive... Want to drive a Ferrari... more expensive.
What to go to the biggest game of the year... spoiler alert... more expensive.

Not necessarily. There are those who have pulled for the tigers probably longer than you have been alive. But because of things like being on a fixed income or job loss, etc. simply cannot afford season tickets. Don't be so quick to judge, like criticizing an older tiger with bad knees for not standing up the whole game, even telling them if you can't stand then stay home.
I for one, have never charged a fellow tiger more than face value for a ticket and never will.

I ain't a charity, a church or the government. If I've got it & you want it, be prepared to pay my price or go without.
I had to laugh last season at the rubes posting wanting to buy tix to the Notre Dame game but stating that they were only willing to pay face value.
The law of Supply and Demand determines cost. If the market will bear it, the price will be paid. If not, it goes unsold.

While I'm screaming my head off in the stands on Oct. 1 and enjoying all that extra cash in my pocket from my extra tickets, I'll try to remember I'm not a real fan.
I'll try to feel bad about it.

Instead of complaining why don't you buy season tickets

through IPTAY every year until you get the seats you want? You can just sell the tickets to the games you don't want to go to for face value and pat yourself on the back for "being a real fan". Its amazing how entitled some people are. How does someone make it to adulthood without understanding basic economic principles like supply and demand? It's like they think everyone pays face value for each ticket they want in the section they want.

Fixed income? Then why are people on fixed incomes trying to buy tickets?
And if you are buying high and selling low by not charging more than face, good for you...charities abound but they are non-profits for a reason.
Face value on the ticket is more of a cliche now since the seat equity implemented several years back is not included in the "face value".
My five lower level seats cost me $1,837 (includes $12 order fee) plus $950 seat equity. $2,787 / 7 games / 5 seats equals $79.63 per ticket per game to break even. If I put them on StubHub to sell, I pay a 10% sellers fee.
So just breaking even on StubHub, an IPTAY member in my section has to sell them for $88.48. So, if you see $90 on StubHub, an IPTAY member, in my section is only clearing $1.52 per ticket. I sit on the goal line...imagine seat equity charges near mid field and the price increase it means per ticket.
Since tickets have different "face values", increase or decrease these numbers above accordingly. SC State had a $40 face value which is $20 less per ticket than Louisville. That means a SC State ticket on StubHub would have been $68.48. A Louisville ticket would then increase to $108.48 and so on.

I agree with you over the price gouging, but taking a 2 month old baby to Clemson for a big time game is just absurd!!!

If a man can make some extra $ by selling something and somebody is willing to pay, go for it. Having said that, I personally won't pay a ridiculous amount for some tickets, but I'm not gonna complain about those who do.

OP is trolling and/or a scam artist. Even Coot-fan Hillary supporters know the free world relies on charititable pay-to-play economics to grease the wheels of commerce.
"Oh, please sell me face-value tickets to the hottest game in Death Valley this year and I promise I won't take advantage of well meaning, long-standing IPTAY members by opportunistically reselling to real single-mom tiger fans at confiscatory rates!"

I guess you've never donated to IPTAY and paid for tickets to understand the true cost.
