David Michael McGrew died in Copley, Ohio on May 31, 2018. McGrew grew up in Raleigh, NC. He played on three NCAA Championship soccer teams and four ACC Championship soccer teams at Clemson. He also worked in the Sports Information Office prior to graduating in 1981. For 12 years he worked for sports marketing giant Host Communications and rose to President of the Midwest Division. Then he moved to MCS Marketing where he served as President for 18 years. A testament to McGrew’s character is that for the last seven years he traveled all over the US with his special needs daughter. Taking in Bowl games, The Super Bowl, Nd many other exciting events. Another fine example of a Clemson Country Gentleman.

Facts are incorrect

Clemson has won two NCs in soccer but after 1981. If he graduated in 1981 he did not play for three NCAA championship teams at Clemson. Leads me to believe all of these posts should be fact checked.
