FSU was once referred to in same manner as "Clemsoning"

While watching FSU play Pitt, I was thinking of when I was growing up and FSU had a reputation for choking, losing in the big games. They had tons of talent, but couldn't get over the hump and live up to expectations. Remember that missed field goal by FSU in the early 90s (I think against Florida) and that close up shot of Bobby Bowden looking on with hope and then disappointment and defeat on his face?

However, FSU finally turned the corner and became one of the most dominating college football programs in history for a number of years.

I guess what I'm saying is it takes a few solid years and big wins, and these reputations tend to fade and be forgotten. We are definitely on the right track and I'm excited about this season.

I'd love to... stuck in Afghanistan right now, working as a contractor over here on a big project.

However, I have ESPN Gameplan and get to see all of the games, the only downside is late games like the one against UGA have me getting up in the middle of the night to watch it.
