FCA -can someone explain?

Fellowship of Christian athletes meet at public high schools and universities all over the country. University and High School coaches participate in the orginazation's planning, speaking, and serve on advisory boards. They solicit student athletes for retreats, trips to events and small group meetings.
They use and meet in publicly funded buildings. Big name coaches are many time keynote speakers or board members.
It seems to me this suit against the university is nothing more than a play by the atheist group to garner attention and raise money for more of the devils work.

Come on, it's not that hard to grasp:
One, FCA, is a PRIVATE organization. The other is the football team, a part of a PUBLIC university.

FCA uses public facilities, gets discounted tickets to publicly funded events, is provided free food and refreshments by public schools and universities, and uses public university paid employees as tools to recruit attendees.
Why don't some of these complainers just get jobs as public funded programs and recruit as atheist head coaches. Don't some of the complainers think that there are worse problems than bible studies , hospital prayer lists, rides to church of their choice, and moral support structure.

The law is well-settled on this issue. Public educational facilities can and should be made available to religious groups for student-led religious activities. To unreasonably deny such a request, the government school could run afoul of the Free Exercise Clause of the 1st amendment (as applied to the states by the 14th Amendment). Simple enough.
Here's where it gets a little hairy. Let the FCA use your facilities, you have to let the Baptists, the Pentecostals, the Mormons, the Seventh Day Adventists, the Jehovahs Witnesses, the Catholics, the Unitarians Universalists, and the Metropolitan Community Churchers (look 'em up) use them as well. Still okay with all of these groups from the Christian tradition? Fine, but you also have to let the Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, Sikhs, Taoists, and Baha'is use them too. Still okay? How about the Druids, neo-pagans, Rastafarians, Wiccans, and Satanists? You have to let them use the public facilities as well because to do otherwise would be violative of both the Free Exercise AND the Establishment Clause. You also have to let the non or anti-religious groups such as the atheists, secular humanists and Ayn Randers have meeting to criticize, ridicule or denounce any or all of the above faith traditions as well (Establishment Clause).

That about sizes up the entire situation. I haven't read all of the complaints, but according to the courts, if Dabo picked himself a team chaplain (instead of the players), or if he actively plans and/or leads these religious meetings/trips etc., then that constitutes a legal problem that must be addressed at a state supported University.

Do you know how many public universities have a team chaplain on staff? It is a very big number!

Please read the previous post of mine carefully. If Dabo, as head coach, did indeed pick the team chaplain, then there may be a problem.
