Clemson defensive back Mackensie Alexander was not listed "

Oct 29, 2015, 11:21 AM

.......not listed, I guess because he thinks the Clemson pass defense is "below average" and he probably only looks at statistic sheets. Let's face it.....McShay is MORAN! Wonder if he ever actually watches games?

He was on the sideline during Miami game last Saturday.***

That explains it. He's to short to see the game over the players on the sidelines

He was...and as CU was up 4568-0, he STILL did not have

us in his Top 4. They showed it during the game. I was screaming at the TV.

They said those top fours were picked prior to the game while the graphics were on the screen.

prob cause no one throws at him.. hard to have great stats and highlights when they avoid you..

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I think the stat that nobody looks at that tells the real

Oct 29, 2015, 11:50 AM

story for CB's is the thrown at stat. You can tell that the opposing teams are avoiding MA!!

It really doesn't matter what McShay thinks. NFL scouts get paid to find talent and get that talent onto their teams. McShay gets paid to TALK about the more obvious talent that we (the avg. Joe) don't have access to.

That's my point....you don't judge guys like Mackenzie by

looking at stat sheets in some production studio. He may have been at the game, but apparently he wasn't watching the game.

McShay didn't get to see enough of Mack against Miami

Oct 29, 2015, 9:05 PM

That's the best reason I can come up with as to why he's not listed in the top 32. Alexander didn't get to play nearly as many snaps against Miami as he normally does, and Venables actually lined him up at a different position most of the game.

I'm not sure if you guys that rewatch the game noticed it, but it looked like Venables had Mackensie playing primarily the nickel cornerback position as opposed to his primary position. I can only guess it was because the coaching staff felt like Travis Blanks might be a liability against what had been a n above average passing offense with Brad Kaaya.

That's another of the many reasons that Venables is the best DC in the country. He was able to take what might be our biggest weakness on defense (Blanks in pass coverage in the nickel) and turn it into a strength by having our best coverage guy line up there instead.
