I love seeing the guys get honors from my era on campus. Horace was a great player and even better person, he deserves any alumni and conference honor he can earn.

But, why would we honor players who did not compete as an ACC player?? The BC, ND, Syracuse and Pitt guys were all great players for the Big East but contributed nothing to the ACC. Additionally, they will now get honors in TWO conferences because the Big East still exists, and their contribution was to only the Big East. Honor league member players for their time competing in the league, otherwise, we might as well honor any future Maryland standouts who are now competing in the Big 10...

I know they won't honor future players of former conference members, so I don't think the honor should be retroactive to players who competed prior to their school becoming a league member either...
