Cornerbacks can play with a cast on their hand

Aug 21, 2015, 7:14 PM

My best friend played CB two years with a cast on his hand and defended well with a couple of Int's.

It shouldn't hurt him that much. He can learn and stay in shape while his hand heals. He could be used if need be.

Go Mark and Go Tigers!

I hope we can get a better picture of him, I'm sure he's not to happy about that one...lol

Thank goodness I wasn't the only one thinking that. In that picture he looks like he works for Dr Evil or maybe a henchman for Cruella DeVille, whom we all know dated Spurrier in high school.

Why did he have a cast on his hand for 2 years? Wow. Just curious. I agree, play with a cast on bro

Well the wording in the article is certainly ambiguous

Aug 22, 2015, 1:21 PM

but if you look at Swinney's quote he says, "Mark Fields broke a little bone in his hand," Swinney said. "He is probably going to have a cast on his hand for about four weeks or so."

He broke one of his metacarpals. Not a huge deal, but it's very difficult to perform any fine motor skills with that hand for about a month.

Looking at the bright side...

This is an indication that the team is likely working very hard in preparation for the tough season ahead. Reassurance that they aren't excessively confident or relaxed.
