Dabo Swinney has built a program that is quite different in terms of the values it is based on and how it operates on a day-to-day basis.
He has won a championship. The first for our school in a generation.
He did it utilizing a methodology that is truly different than those used by Alabama, Ohio State, or Florida State. Not necessarily better (IMHO it is better, but one could argue that in terms of results it is not better), but definitely different.
Candidly, he has earned the right, as long he is not breaking the rules, to do things whatever way he sees fit after a game, before a game, whenever.
He has taken our school, which has a lower enrollment, a smaller alumni base, less in-state recruits, less money, smaller fanbase, etc. and has made us nationally competitive.
THIS IS THE GOLDEN AGE - sit back and enjoy the ride and count our blessings.
I can say with certainty that we will rue the day that Coach Dabo is no longer our head coach.
Exactlty! This is indeed the Golden Age! Well said.

Wow, far too many negative and absolutely bizarre comments on here. Unbelievable. And you are also correct that Dabo is building a unique program, as is now being acknowledged by national commentators. We don't accept just anybody, and the only school I have ever seen that will bench an all-American for a rules violation for a game with a ranked opponent (Sammy Watkins / Auburn) and on national tv. No else does that, certainly no SEC school. We are simply the best college football program in the nation, no one comes close. So yes, this is the Golden Age.
