Well, if asked this last year I would have stated that 2015 would be a big rebuilding year. Some here on Tigernet even speculated we might be a top 30 defense. I was pleasantly shocked at what these guys accomplished this year. So, I say with Coach Venebles, nothing would surprise me!

Bryant looked good on relief. If Dodd stays especially. I'm curious who stays in the secondary. I think the backups will play well, but we haven't seen much against quality opponents

I think we will have a top 20 defense at least.

I think we're done rebuild, we're only reloading from here on out. With BV we're a permanent top 25 D at worse.

Very good defense. Addition by subtraction. Lose Goodson, Lawson, Reader, Alexander, Kearse from the starting lineup, add Wilkins, C.Smith, Bryant, Fields, Wiggins TO the starting lineup. I dont see one bit of drop off.

with Wiggins

We probably would've been #1 this year. That's the one weak spot these teams have been trying to target.
Wiggins is a baller. Jadar is solid. Jeffrey Gibson looks good.
O'Daniel at Sam.
I would say better because of depth next year.
But slight drop if Mac & Kearse leave.

Have we seen enough of Fields to know he'll be a starter.

I personally thought defense would be our weak spot THIS year since we lost so many players. Coach V and the players proved me wrong. With the prospects we have coming in 2016, I think our D could be top ten again next season. With the exception of M Alexander, the bulk of our pass coverage gang will probably leave for the pros after their success this year. That's what concerns me the most. Do we have enough strength, speed and talent to fill those positions immediately or will it take a year? Our D line is solid. We will have Wilkins back next year for sure. Watkins and Shaq are Jrs so.... We have some big talent coming in to add to our D line with Dexter Lawernce and X Kelly. As far as linebackers go, I'm not worried. We've got the top two LBs in the country coming in (rivals) so that spot should be super solid as well. I was worried about how our defense would be this time last year. Not this time.

You mean with the exception of Mac, our pass coverage all comes back???? Tankersley, Green will be back.Baker will get his next year, Fields will prob start at one corner. Van Smith is getting valuable time. Muse is coming in. Loaded.

Rashan Gary at defensive end would be nice. Gary, Wilkens, Watkins, Bryamt, Lawrence. There's a talented defensive line
