well. did the acc ever remit those to umd or is the difference between the 31.6mil & the 52ish mil that hold back??

Basically the settlement was that the ACC got to keep the funds they were withholding and Maryland didn't have to pay anything else.

I wouldn't think so, since they had yet to sign with the ACC at the time, but I don't know the details.

Now, I would hope the money that was held was saved in an account should the ACC have lost the lawsuit. So, can we expect a nice fat check for $2MM-plus?

few years. Maryland has a lot of history w fball and ball over decades in the acc. Hopefully Louisville gets BETTER after joining and not worse like v tech and miami. At this point tho I'll take that trade. Good riddance twerps

VT got worse? Maybe the last couple of years, but they won

10+ games their first 8 years in the conference. Aside from the 2 Vick season, that was the best run of success in the history of their program.
