Tigers win and we're concerned about an announcer? This reeks of cootness. Give me a break!

play-by-play without all the derisive crap, biased commentary, and when he did compliment Clemson, it was as though he was stressed to do so and generally done in some kind of backhanded way. He's an A$$.

Typically, I'd agree with you, but Cunningham is terrible. Go back and look at any of the games he's called with Clemson and you'll hear he has a negative tone about nearly everything Clemson does.
Just a few things I remember off the top of my head:
1. GT game - Brandon Ford makes a great catch and Cunningham won't shut up about how he doesn't think it's a catch for three of four more plays. There were a few more times in that game, but that was the most egregious.
2. VT game - As Tajh Boyd shows no real signs of injury, other than holding his arm funny on one play, Cunningham criticizes the Clemson coaches for allowing Boyd to stay in the game. I believe the words "careless," and "irresponsible" were used.
3. CFA Bowl - "That's not pass interference. That's frame-by-frame, but not on the field."
That's just what I can think of off the top of my head. He's obviously got an ax to grind against Clemson.

Oh, definitely. He sucks.
I went back and watched a bit of the VT game from last year and it was awful.
Dr. Ed diagnosed Boyd with a broken arm and dislocated shoulder. "Don't be surprised if he can't raise his arm in the morning. The backup should be in."
I don't usually get into stuff like this, but this is negative PR for Clemson and it's not based on anything in reality. He criticizes the coaches relationships with players on national television, which, if you want to get legalistic about it, could really hurt recruiting.
Clemson fans should really do their best to not let him call another CU game.
Mike Patrick sucks, too, but he's just stupid.

the media says? I don't care for Ed Cunningham, but even as annoying he can be and the way he has always taken digs at Clemson, ESPN has number of much worse analysts and host who disses us more and is much more sensationalistic. Ed Cunningham was actually more complimentary of our team than most posters on Tnet were after the Maryland game.

It hurts recruiting

Recruits across the nation were watching the games. I remember even one of the Clemson assistant coaches/recruiters saying at a Clemson club meeting 7-8 years ago that watching games on tv is one of the the main ways out of state recruits form their initial impressions.

Are you going to complain about every commentator that doesn't say glowing things about us? Guess what- not everyone is a huge Clemson fan. Are you going to waste your time calling ESPN about everyone that doesn't say something nice about us? That's pu$$y stuff dude. Grow up.

What is wrong is wrong, whether we won or not. Ed Cunningham is a tool. His commentary was biased and uncalled for. There were several times I wanted to throw something at the TV because of him, and not because our lackluster performance (which also warranted it at times.)
He should be called out on it. It hurts Clemson's image.
