I do not recall Texas A&M in the MNC game.
Beating them in the regular season is one thing.
Winning enough games to dethrone them in the West is a completely different matter!

i would say 'bama wins it all, and i wouldn't bet against'em. i can see what you say about getting to the mnc, but winning it is entirely different.

It would be nice to have Clemson there, but to be honest I think we drop 2 games again some how or another.
It just takes so much to get to the MNC. If we can only drop one early to UGA or FSU, we may still have a shot. Actually, we are probably better off beating UGA, FSU, and SC and end up with a close early upset loss. Not sure which is the better scenario for 1 loss for us.
With ESecPN, my prediction is Ohio State and Florida. We will have 1 loss along with OSU and Florida, but strength of schedule and a lower preseason rating gets us in the end. The BIG is terrible and OSU will have a cake walk. Bama gets knocked off 2 times this year.

If we must lose one. Would be 12-1 with acc title and a loss in first week. You always want your losses as early as possibly, and preferably to a quality opponent.

Not so sure about that. The win against UGA moves us up early and is an impressive win in the eyes of the voters. We beat the big dogs on our schedule and have a close upset loss early in the season to an ACC team that somehow is close to the top 25 or just in. Then, this may be the better scenario for us given the weakness of the ACC right now.
Either way it is so tough to win an NC. I am not even going to get my hopes up. Win the ACC and the Orange bowl with no more than 2 losses would be a successful season.

I know, I know, history says this will NEVER happen, but just for fun...
Say Ohio State goes undefeated and wins the B1G. USC goes 12-1 with a loss to Clemson but wins the SEC Championship. Clemson goes 12-1 with a loss to UGA and wins the ACC.
Who does Ohio State play?

Interesting thought. Our SOS will be ok with FSU, SC, and UGA. And a win over a solid ACC team in the championship. I would love to see this scenario play out as it would come down to the SOS calculation. Talk about a mess.
Lets be honest though, no way the Coots get out of their schedule without at least 3 losses. One of which will be to us. We better go into that game with the same attitude we went into the LSU game with. Which we did not this year nor have we over the last few years. SC has been the team with the edge and attitude.
