Just make sure your browser has an ad-blocker installed. I recommend Google Chrome browser with uBlock Origin ad-blocker.

I just tested on my laptop (8gb RAM) and Chrome's only using about 500mb with the stream running. You need to use an ad-blocker for sure, though. One of the best things about uBlock Origin is that it's relatively easy on your system resources.

How many tabs did you have open? Chrome is notorious for eating ram with only a few tabs open. But actually I meant that as a joke anyways.

Just the one. I don't usually keep more than a few tabs open at once. If I feel like it's getting bogged down I reload the page, or close and reopen Chrome, and that always fixes it.
It can be a pain sometimes, but it's nice being able to watch literally every game that's on TV anywhere.

 I just buy a faster computer, and get faster internet speed (100 Mbps).
Before I retired, I had to monitor numerous systems and would keep 15-20+ tabs open (3 levels deep). People would stop by and just stare. I usually had to multi-task to keep things running smoothly, and that worked for me.
Use a solid state drive and lots of RAM too. Don't be defeated by little problems.

Get a free 2 week trial of PS Vue or Youtube tv.
Both have ESPNU.

My wife and I went back to a lower tier cost on Spectrum last year to save well over a hundred dollars annually so we just added ESPNU for football and basketball seasons. No everybody wants added channels we normally don’t watch.
