I see what you did, ESECPN...

aTm at #4 and Auburn at #9.

So no matter what happens, the SEC will have AT LEAST 1 team in the CFP. Maybe 2 if we're lucky. FINGERS CROSSED!!!

Just gag me.

You are exactly right. I don't understand why other people

can't see it, but sadly, you are dead on right.

ESPN is not responsible for the rankings...

CFP is its own entity.

And what channel does this crap air on?

Nov 1, 2016, 7:46 PM

FS1? CBS? NBC?

Oh, ESPN? Huh...

It's not like they have any pull... or like the SEC more than any other conference.

I'm just playing devil's advocate. They should be their own entity. But I have my doubts. Humans can be influenced or brainwashed. Ain't that hard to do.

Ummmmmmmm...Big 10 has 4 of the top 10 and 5 of the top 12.

B1G 10 is pretty solid this year.

Nov 1, 2016, 8:58 PM

I don't agree with Penn St. being #12, but I think their top 4 or 5 teams are quality teams that could give anybody fits. I'll take their top-end conference strength over the SEC's.

Maybe so but the SEC still deserves to be represented.

Nov 1, 2016, 9:48 PM

I strongly doubt any conference will have two reps in the PO without a lot of losing by other conferences.

IMO, the Big 12 needs to be left out until they recruit enough quality teams to have a CCG. The PAC needs to tell ESPiN to shove it and find a network which will air their games in timeslots closer to everybody's waking hours and not in the middle of the night.

The ACC, B1G and SEC champs always deserve a seed no matter how many losses are on their records.

This will probably gag you:

No matter how you shake it the SEC should be represented in the playoff. All the best of the best football is played in the southeastern portion of this country. That's just how it is. The SEC covers this area well. Without an SEC or ACC team it wouldn't be a playoff.

Sorry, B1G, Big 12 and PAC fans, that's just how it is.

I'm fine with a deserving SEC team making the playoff.

Nov 1, 2016, 10:03 PM

Bammer is more than deserving right now.

But the potential scenario where a 2-loss SEC team gets in the playoff concerns me. And the "eye test" factor can make this a possibility.
