ESPN bubble watch bashing Clemson

Regarding NC st and it chances of getting into the big dance.
To put itself back on the bubble with bad losses now -- continuing with Clemson on Tuesday -- would be a genuine shame
I guess they don't know the we have already beating NC st at their own home court. Hate to see them loose to such a shameful Clemson team.

All we had to do was not lose to Gwebb and Winthrop and we would be in that conversation

So, after we beat them, AGAIN,

we will be 17-12 and they will be 17-13 overall, we will be 9-8 and they will be 8-9 in the ACC and they are the team on the bubble???
We have some horrible losses but 18-12 (10-8) plus a win in the tourney should get us close. Of course ND will be tough in South Bend.

They have the best assortment of wins for any bubble team out there

we could win out and then win 2 in the acc tourney and still not get in.

Having the hypothetical possibility of maybe being considered is not the same as "not far off". Statistically speaking there is now less than a 1% chance of making the tournament. Even if we win 4 straight to get to twenty wins that would put us in the high 50s RPI and we would be a bubble team.

Wins over GW, Winthrop and South Carolina would put the RPI at 51 with a SOS of 47.
Clemson would have everything to play for this week and next week in Greensboro.

There is ZERO chance of an NCAA at large bid, the only way to the Dance is to win the ACC tournament or buy a ticket.

I agree but I think it is funny people focus so much on the GW game when the Rutgers game was far more damaging. The two home losses to Winthrop and Rutgers are what put the dagger in this season. You can shake off a road / neutral site loss in the RPI system but home losses are devastating. Clemson should really look at swapping an away game between the Citadel and Charleston Southern every year. Doing it on the road is worth twice as much in the RPI system, it's good fan service for Charleston area fans, and the team is really no more or less likely to lose the game. Maybe alternate a road game between Furman and Presbyterian too. We've got to learn to game the system a little better.
