Put up with the fackin traffic? Drove down to Casa de DireFamily on IOP for the first time in a while this afternoon and hit traffic at the 26-526 junction about 4pm - stop and go all the way to Mt.P. No wrecks. Just an assfack of cars going slooow. Does rush hour traffic start at 3 or something?

after the AM rush, but when I return in the afternoon I hit it frequently. I've learned to check Google maps for real time traffic to see how to best approach Columbia when returning from Charleston or Greenville, Florence, whatever. If I20 is gridlock, I take 77 south and around if coming from Florence. 26 USUALLY isn't bad coming back from Charleston in Columbia, but I always check the gauntlet from Columbia to Orangeburg on 26 because there are always wrecks there. Coming back from Greenville, if I hit traffic at rush hour, I will detour and cross the ### to get back home.

slowdown starts around 3-330 due to volume. The whole interchange is a shid show and poor design. DOT plans on re configuring the interchange sometime around 2024-2030. They used to have the alternative concept designs on this website but it looks like they took them off? There is a report out there somewhere comparing the alternatives
