Alabama, if it plays like it did against CSU, it could lose (one can wish) to Ole Miss and the Tigers will be #2 in the land!

I agree...we could be #1 from now on, but won't mean a damnn thing if we're not in the top 2 in the final poll. Just play hard and win...one game at a time, let the pieces fall as they may.

A team should work its way to the top - not the other way around. We started high, and if we lose, there a long, hurtful way to the bottom. No way that I think we're #3. When we can beat FSU and USC, then I will believe it. Not being a pessimist - just a realist!
In 1981, we were unranked - then the Tigers moved up in the polls each week by winning each game, finally to #1.
