Gameplanning for the Coots should start today!

Nov 15, 2013, 2:15 PM

I know the ol sayig, don't look ahead. But in this case, should we start game planning and preparing for SC now!? I feel we should....make it like we have an xtra week of prep for them. With all due respect to Citadel, we will beat them with our basic offense and D..sure look at a few things on film and make sure we know what they will do. But I feel we should really get a head start on the coots this time around. Just IMO!

players will continue to practice the same stuff they did for GT while the coaches start getting a little head start on the SC game plan this week.

Yeah I would think so too, Citadel runs a lot of the same stuff as GT. I'm pretty sure the coaches are at least getting things together for Nov 30th if anything.

I know the results have not shown up well on the scoreboard

the last 4 years but the ENTIRE coaching staff absolutely understands the importance of a win in this game. CDS can not stand losing to the Dirtpeckers it kills him. Do not base the success of the entire season on weather we beat a bunch of losers. We started the season with a huge win against the SEC and we will end the regular season with a SEC win. That will continue our winning streak against the SEC 3-0.

Well, it is obvious Trademark Swinney can't do anything about beating scar. If we can't protect Boyd, it will be a long day for us in Cola. I don't know about Trademark but I can't take losing 5 in a row.

I think FSU proved what penetration can do to disrupt Clemson's offense.

Hopefully the offensive line will block well enough (when needed) and Coach Morris will create a game plan that will be successful.

I think Tajh/Dabo may want this game more than any they have ever played.

physical practices.

Make the practices for USuC more intense than the game.

Review Citadels stuff on Thursday. Won't matter if we only
beat them a couple of TD's, but that ain't gonna happen. They can't cover Sammy, Bryant and company.

Get back to me after the birds have been yard stomped. You see WE Wouldn't lose to Tn and WE didn't lose to UGA.

DABO will be on ESPN/ABC on the 50 yard line at the Roach giving his"There's only one university in this state" speech to the whole nation.

I think game planing for their O is harder than most because

Nov 15, 2013, 3:30 PM

Slurrier doesn't game plan. Saw a TV piece on him about how lazy he is and it is sort of his "genius". He doesn't like to game plan but just makes it up as he goes along.

I swear when you watch them it does appear he does this.

Nov 15, 2013, 4:16 PM

That would explain why more often than not, they start off really sluggish until he can see whats going on out there. I wouldn't doubt it one bit if that's what he really does.

That's what 'the brat' article said last month also. He

just wings it. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't. Didn't work at all in the pros.

Re: That's what 'the brat' article said last month also. He

He has said he calls the game as if he was the QB. That is why he does not game plan. He prepares for the game as if he was the starting QB and waits until the game starts and calls the play depending on down and distance and the defense he thinks they will be in. He lets his QB audible if he calls a play and they change defenses. He said he gives his QB a certain number of plays that would work against a particular team for his check downs. This was how Nick Sabin described preparing his defense for playing South Carolina a few years ago, you prepare to play Spurrier as if he was the starting QB.

PS., Saban went on to lose that game.

PS: Saban also went on to lose a few more games that year, not as big of a deal. Great timing.

That may be so but, as much as I hate

Nov 16, 2013, 12:16 AM [ in reply to Re: That's what 'the brat' article said last month also. He ]

to admit it, Slurrier has a great "feel" for the game. Heck, he's been very successful in cootville - not to mention against us lately.
