our basketball teams is tearing up the competition...said no one ever.
Seriously though, I'm getting tired of hearing about how we're beating up the "Vicenza Allstars" and the "Dream Team" of Italy. Yeah, give me a break. There's no way these are the best basketball players the country of Italy has to represent it. 1) We're not that good, at all and 2) For Italy, these are just travel squads that are willing to play foreign competition.
Let's not make ourselves look better than we really are T-net reporters. B/c trust me, we're really not that good to begin with.

I was just excited that we scored 100+ points in a game - even if nobody was on the floor but us. I didn't know we could do that.
I guessed that Italians played longer games than we do. Dunno.

I was pleased to see that the team is doing well and I believe they will be a much improved team. Last year was a rough year. These young men went overseas on a very nice trip that any of us would enjoy and represented Clemson well. They wore the school colors with pride and had a chance to see some really great things to boot. I hope they all get home safely and that they used this summer play time to bond and refine their team chemistry.
