All Spence has to do is prove me wrong . . .

Apr 5, 2007, 9:15 AM

Until then, he's nothing more than Mr. Burns wearing orange.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I agree to an extent. I was just wondering...

Apr 5, 2007, 9:16 AM

how long it would take the "bubble screen" posts to start :)

Yes, I'm sure he's up at night worried on how to...

...prove you wrong.

There's no such thing as a stupid question, just stupid people who ask questions.

I think I share the same feelings as the majority of Tiger

Apr 5, 2007, 9:42 AM

Fans.

So yes, I do think it keeps him up at night.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

offense was at the end of last year....at least i hope he cares that much

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

No it is not

Apr 5, 2007, 9:32 AM [ in reply to Don't get too excited . . . the "Bubble-Screen" is still a pass.*** ]

It is considered an outside run in this offense and every other offense that I know. Went to a clinic that he spoke at and this is what a bubble is used for. Also, it is an automatic checkdown depending on if the slots are covered down or the defensive players are cheating into the box area. QB has this call.

Thank you Mr. Football . . .

Apr 5, 2007, 9:43 AM

All I know is that it does not work.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Thank You Mr Criticism

Apr 5, 2007, 10:17 AM

You made a statement, I gave you an answer. Whether you like it or not, it is a checkdown by the QB that is taught on day 1 in camp. If it is used too much, blame the QB. He also has the authority to check to a zone run to the covered down look. Regardless of the play call from Spence, he has the option to check. And yes, I do coach.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I wish I could thumbs down, but the alas it's the truth

Apr 5, 2007, 9:50 PM [ in reply to Don't get too excited . . . the "Bubble-Screen" is still a pass.*** ]

and sometimes the truth hurts

I will believe it when I see it....

Apr 5, 2007, 9:21 AM

Why can't we do both well?

The debacle of the second half of last year is inexcusable.

Did you see Proctor the second half of the season? I'm not one to bash a player, but he definitely was not comfortable in the pocket post GT game. He was missing his receivers by a good 5 yards and would take off running if heard a lineman pass gas.

Hopefully we can get someone who'll make a defense respect the pass so we can ram Thunder & Lighning down their throat.

Spence sure was pass-happy against Kentucky

Apr 5, 2007, 9:52 AM

when their run D was ranked in the 100's.

Our offense had better be improved this year. Running up stats against Temple & LA Tech means nothing to me.

It's time for Spence to show something against real competition.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You mean like GaTech?

Apr 5, 2007, 9:56 AM

Or like Boston College and FSU?

I know the season ended on a bad note, but it's not like we played like crap against anyone with a pulse.

Re: Spence More Committed Than Ever To Passing Game

Apr 5, 2007, 10:37 AM

What I can't figure out is why Proctor played an MVP-type game in the Senior Bowl with only a week of practice in that system, but looked COMPLETELY lost in the Clemson scheme he had been exposed to for 4 years.

###???

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Must these adjustments always be made the following year?

Apr 5, 2007, 2:42 PM

We knew after VT that the passing game sucked, so why not start focusing on it then? Bowden and staff are great for getting prepared after the season is over.

The person who posted this seems unsure if the info is correct. Lot of question marks.
