Has anyone ever had as great of a back up career as he has? I mean he has been in the league as a number 2 guy for 8 years. Heck even Tim Tebow couldn't get on an NFL roster as a number 2 QB.

Rated as best 2nd qb ever - led us to win in Gator Bowl and in 12th season backed up cHICAGO'S McMahon in the Super Bowl. He had to take McMahon's place several times because of injuries and did really good job! GO TIGERS!

a lot then split time with Bill Kinney there before signing with the Bears. He saw the field quite a bit in Chicago during McMahon's many injuries. That '85 Bears team was a juggernaut. Best NFL defense i've ever seen.

Doesn't even get his hair messed up. If I have a son, I hope can be a career backup QB in San Diego.

I will nominate Frank Reich and Todd Collins as having better careers in that they both reached about 15 years with a big win or two as a fill in, but all of them have a pretty sweet gig.
