Exactly!
Only two ways to call that play...
1) Complete and forward progress stopped for a seven yard gain (Still fourth down)
2) Incomplete (and still fourth down)

Hey I watched the replay and was fully prepared that the call on the field was correct. That doesn’t mean that we don’t come back, score and win the game anyway. It’s a break we got. Receivers did not play well against OSU. We can do better.

I felt like The Tigers were going to win regardless, of what I also thought was an ohio st TD. After the first Tiger TD, you could tell ol' mo was on our side, and The Tigers were not gonna lose the game.

interference/illegal contact on another receiver don't remember who on that same play- and that was just on what was in view of that side of the field

I just heard this forward progress thing on full ride. I think you can come up with that when you watch it slow mo. But I don't think you can really say that watching it real time. That would have to be the fastest blown dead play ever.

And in real time the ball is constantly moving, when all the angles are combined.
Still, they went up that exact same score, just their D was not put right back out there for 1st and 10 Clemson O. They got a drive first.
I am with everyone else in feeling like we were going to win, however. Felt like 2016. Our guys were out to be Legendary, all over again.

Yes it would have to be blown dead by a refs whistle. What I was getting at is that while the forward progress was stopped, it all happened so fast there is no way they would have blown that play dead in time to effect it. I can see looking at the slow-mo that it seems like a viable option, but in real time I really don't think it was.

What all this amounts to is, ohio st. got their butts beat and they're grabbing at any straw they can get their hands on to make themselves feel better. I don't believe Bama was ever this whiney.
