Their mission statement says the "best teams" which is generally interpreted as the "best 4 teams". I would argue with the example of LSU and Alabama this year that we know Alabama is not the best even if it can be argued one of the best four. With that argument I would give extreme preference to other conferences were comparisons are much more subjective, but ultimately it is up to the committee to determine how they interpret their mission statement.

Otherwise, they'd have some concrete rules/guidelines and this 'eye test' BS wouldn't exist. They've left it open ended for a reason. I'm just glad most people love Dabo.
