Does anyone else cringe at the "we will win without a doubt"

Nov 6, 2014, 4:39 PM

talking...

Now, I know that for three seasons, we have not lost to an unranked opponent. So I am much more confident then I was back in the TB era. However, this is college football. Teams that should not lose seem to do so every week. How long will this coaching staff keep their teams focused on a lesser opponent...forever??? Not likely. I felt similar about the "we will kill Syracuse talk". And it was way too close for comfort for way too long. Can't wait to win and move on....or will we?

Don't worry. This isn't Tommy Bowden's team.

I'm pretty comfortable about Wake, even on Thurs. night and even on the road.

My theory is that Cole was hurt during the last three games and a week off with some pressure release knowing DW can play will change his ability and attitude.

We use to lose these types of game because our team was young from the HC down. Dabo is maturing and his emotions are better under control. That translates to the boys. The maturity of BV has been a big asset to the entire team including Dabo.

I think we'll be business as usual tonight.

I normally feel a little uneasy abotu Wake, but not now

Our Strength vs their weakness is such a huge gap, that barring tons of injuries and them playing out of their mind i dont see them winning. Their offense is probably on SC state level, maybe worse. If our offense doesnt turn the ball over we should win by double digits, and that may only take 10 points.

Stoudt on the first series of downs. I hate to think that way, but I come by it honestly.

Very, Very Excited. Very, Very Proud.

Only if it's coming from the players or coaches

It's not like anything posted here affects what happens in the game.

Make no mistake

If we bring our D game and they bring their A game we can lose.
It'd be silly to suggest otherwise.

That said, our defense bringing their B game should be enough barring a barrage of turnovers to make this one a (perhaps ugly) win.
