Does anybody else find the irony in...

Mar 2, 2016, 9:16 PM

It being called the affordable care act? My employees just received their projected premiums for this years plan with the minimum government standard and many agreed they couldn't afford them. Many of my employees saw a substantial increase in compensation over the last year, and as a result their cost for insurance skyrocketed. Mine is downright obscene.

The government would #### up a wet dream.

Are you missing the part where folks with pre-existing

Mar 3, 2016, 9:25 AM

conditions now can actually get insurance as opposed to being denied? I think they would tell you the ACA has been a literal and monetary life saver, but that probably wouldn't fit your narrative or agenda.

Folks get a less-than-standard insurance policy and it results in medical issues not covered and revenues that ultimately get charged off by the medical industry, which perpetuates rising health care costs.

Like Barry or not I don't care, but pinning rising health care costs on him is shallow. If you think this problem is within the control of the POTUS, you'd have to share the blame with every single POTUS since the 70s.

Certainly needs some cost cutting measures. Instead of,

Mar 3, 2016, 9:33 AM

you know, passing repeal bill #37 through the house again with no backup plan. Monte Cristo, it's been YEARS and SCOTUS affirmed it twice. Time to roll up some sleeves and cut costs, and quit pretending like you are going to repeal it.

My understanding it that the malpractice insurance

Mar 3, 2016, 9:43 AM

has gotten out of control. This is a cost that get passed on, but really doesn't help anybody get better care. I don't feel like a doctor making a mistake should be a lottery win for somebody. Say I have to go have open heart surguery tomorrow and something goes wrong leading me having to have some procedure done once a year for the rest of my life but I can go back to work. Well, that procedure should be paid for by the offending hospital but I get to pick who does it. Maybe a little cash $100,000 or less for my troubles and go one. Now if I can't work at all, maybe throw in a couple of million based on my earnings potential.

badge-donor-05yr.jpgringofhonor-aero.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

This is also the reason for the multitude of tests

that a doctor will run you through that may not be necessary.
