or will it take 2-3 yrs for recruiting?

I say Good Luck..but i like playing them in CH since great college town, neat stadium with the tall pines & sissy pale color.

It always takes at least two, and maybe 3 years.

the thing is, the coastal is wide open for someone to take

control of. No one over there is consistent at all. So its open for someone who can win 8 games a year to control it. So i think he sees that and thinks why not go win the coastal a couple years and then hand it off to someone. I think he can get them back to 7/8 games a year but i don't see much more than that. I also do think he'll be there more than 5/6 years max.

I think Mac Brown might well have won a national championship sooner if he'd stayed at UNC. His teams were just getting better and better every year, and those last two years were equal to or better than any of DF's teams except 1981. All they needed to do was get over the FSU obstacle, which would've happened, sooner rather than later.

But he's 67 now. I just don't see it. But I don't think this is a bad hire: it will probably be more like what Lou Holtz did in Cola: 3-5 years to get things back on track for his successor.

He brings an old school football mentality, and recruits

might feel better about Carolina football. They will get better, simply because it would be hard to go backwards from a 2/3 win season.

I think it was a pretty bold move on UNC part, could cost them a lot if this plan does not prove successful... and not sure what successful is to North Carolina football, 8 or 9 win season maybe??
