Need help from some investment gurus regarding some old stock certificates.

I was never one to really trust new technology and go to brokerage firms. It’s finally paid off and it’s time to go to my safe deposit box at the bank and liquidate some of my stock certificates. Haven’t looked at the value in years, but I have:
1000 sh. of Toys ‘R Us
500 sh. of Enron
750 sh. of Trans World Airlines
1250 sh. of Blockbuster
600 sh. of Howard Johnson
I think there may be some more that I bought and don’t have good records of. Forgive me for putting this out there. I’m not trying to brag, but I worked long and hard to buy these, giving up many hours of playing catch with my children and time with the wife. I am about to be a wealthy man and they’ll see what their sacrifice was all about. If any of you know a legitimate broker who can help me liquidate these stock certificates, please tmale me. TIA!

i actually had a couple penny stocks go to zero on me. I literally had to fill out forms from my broker "disowning" them before they'd take them out of my account.

$10,000 worth of shares in one of the solar power companies a few months ago, and that investment has already blossomed down into now being worth about $4,000. This corona / Dos Equis virus has certainly put the kibosh on that little endeavour. (Not quite as bad as the ones on your list yet, but getting there!)
